I was in the mood for pizza and a cold beer and went out in search of. The place I had selected was closed, so we stumbled on Angelo's. I am very glad we did, too. The minute you step into the restaurant, you are met and cared for in a very pleasant and professional manner. We were seated right away and then greeted by our waiter. He was very professional and knowledgeable of the menu. He took our drink orders very quickly and even suggested a delicious non-alcoholic cocktail for my wife. I looked over the menu and realized this was not any pizza joint. The menu was fantastic with many different choices. The waiter also described the specials they were offering for the evening. But I was set on pizza, so we ordered a pizza and a Cesar salad to share. The salad was excellent and large enough for the 2 of us to share. The pizza came out very quickly and was just as delicious. It's not a typical pizza shop pizza. Thin crust with fresh cheeses and pepperoni. The prices we reasonable and the service impeccable. We will be heading back soon to check out some of the other great dishes they have on the menu. Just a heads up, though: valet parking only. But complimentary.
If you've been to Casa D'Angelo, which is our favorite (and the best) Italian restaurant in Broward, this is the mini-me version of it. A lot more laid back but still manages to squeeze in some effortless class (the waitstaff is fantastic) as is the decor - it's perfect for a quick stop to get some light lunch or a more laidback dinner compared to it’s very classy flagship. You'll find some of the best pizza you can find in town and the pasta dishes are absolutely top notch. You'll be hard pressed to go wrong with anything here and it's worth the visit every time.
This place is beyond amazing. I come here with my family for special occasions and just for lunch/dinner. Recently, I came with my mom and grandma for lunch to celebrate my birthday. We normally sit outside (definitely recommend if it’s not hot out) but since it was rainy and storming we sat inside for the first time! Our waiter was great and we got a couple bottles of the Gavi di Gavi for the half off wine. Ordered the calamari for an app and our waiter informed us that it comes with fried vegetables too so we got it as is. When it came out we were all so impressed with how beautiful it looked. It tasted just as good too. But I had a dilemma… I also wanted the contadina pizza. Because if you know, that’s a must. My grandma being the Italian grandmother she is, told me to get it. So I did. It was a mega hit. Definitely a must have when I come here. Then for our lunch every one of us got the branzino. No notes. 10/10. Come here for great food, drinks and atmosphere. You won’t be disappointed.
Our first experience at this restaurant and not the last one, for sure! The food was outstanding, as well as the service and the atmosphere. The oysters were fresh, and the appetizer (burrata with salami and pistachio) excellent! We ordered sea food risotto from the specials of the day and it was delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant!
Yes. Where the locals go. Great food never disappoints. Loyal customer from way way back finally writing a review. Also frequented the Coral Springs location. On this visit we had the halibut special. Excellent. Lunch is one of my go to spots. Try the pizza. Inside seating is limited for dinner, reserve in advance. Restaurant is located on us1, outside seating areas either face us1 or the parking lot. Pricing is reasonable. In summer it’s too hot, but less customers and traffic. Other Italian restaurants recommended are. High end - Casa Angelo. Family and budget friendly. Cafe Vico. Both on us1 near sunrise blvd.
