We ate here once and got takeout another time. Both times the food was excellent. We had no complaints.
We ordered from here while on vacation. I was super excited to see they had "Carbona" which I assumed was a misspelling for carbonara. Even the description said it is made with raw eggs. But alas, as usual, it was just a cheap bechamel sauce and tasteless. The fettuccine was cooked perfectly though, and the garlic knots were heavenly.
I've read a lot of the reviews from here and honestly it's actually very decent. The one thing people have said is the service is rough. I agree they are definitely a little rough around the edges, however I think they are a more traditional or old school Italian people and just come off that way. The food was really pretty decent. The pizza we ordered was good, with a lighter crust and sweet flavor. There is not a ton of sauce but that doesn't make it bas as it was full of flavor and did rank up there in the pizzas I've had in the past. The past was fresh and tasted good. Yes the Alfredo could use a little more salt or pepper to your liking but overall it was very good. The garlic knots or bread they bring before the meal is amazing. They are lite and fluffy covered on real garlic and butter. The staff is nice and does make sure you have what you need. I think the one disconnect people have is they don't speak full English. The servers are good but the cooks and people who help bring food out speak broken English. Overall I would say this is 4.5 start experience with most dishes are priced at $15-$20 per person. What's nice is it was lite and didn't leave me with a full bloated feeling.
I came for pick up. I was barely even acknowledged by a voice of rude blandness. No eye contact. No smile. No nothing. Guys I was utterly shocked how bad this was. I purchased 2 “entrees” for a whopping $45. What I received was the most bland, unimaginative barely edible Italian food that I honestly, maybe that I have ever had. On my chicken Marsala I got two undercooked slim would be chicken breasts, covered in a thin sauce that lacked any distinguishable qualities. It tastes like something from the dollar store watered down. My girlfriends fettuccine carbonara was like eating undercooked noodles ran through a old shoe and dipped in gasoline. The bacon tasted like spoiling anchovies made of shoe leather. The garlic rolls were super stale and had zero flavor. My jaw hurt from one bit. THIS ALL HAPPENED ON A FRIDAY NIGHT! I’m not exaggerating. It was an insult to my taste buds and my pockets. If I thought they’d be gracious and honorable enough to offer a refund I’d contemplate it but there ain’t a chance. Your dogs will barely eat it.
Completed my order online and it was ready at pickup. I walked in told the host I was there for a online order pickup and she said hold on stood there and looked around. I said to her the order is right here pointing at the table because the receipt was in eyesight. Plenty of seating for dine in. Overall food was good, I ordered a lunch size baked zitti and side salad. Good portion of food for the price.
